Special Issue Details

The APSOT-2 special issue will be published as a virtual special issue (VSI) in ScienceDirect:

  • Each submitted manuscript will go through a regular peer-review process. (VSI managing editor: M. Shimada, Idaho National Laboratory)
  • Each accepted manuscript will be published as a regular Fusion Engineering and Design article, and will also be assigned an identifier for the APSOT-2 virtual special issue (VSI) in ScienceDirect.
  • The above process is intended to allow for faster publication.
  • We plan to open the APSOT-2 VSI at the end of August 2017 (likely a week prior to the start of the APSOT-2) for submission.

The manuscript submission deadline has been extended to September 22nd.

Instructions can be found here: 20170922 APSOT-2 Paper Submission v.2.pdf

The working language for the symposium is English.

Presentation Format

Poster presentations should conform to the A0 paper size. The actual poster boards that we have rented are 44 inches wide by 70 inches tall ( 111 cm wide by 177 cm tall). This is larger than the A0 size (84.1 cm wide by 118.9 cm tall) and you are free to make your poster to fit the actual size if you wish.

Contributed oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length. Please leave 3-5 minutes for questions at the end of your presentation. Invited oral presentations will be 40 minutes in length. Please leave 5-7 minutes for discussion at the end of the presentation.

For oral presentations, we will have a PC laptop computer and 3:2 format projector (NOT the newer widescreen format). Please format your talk accordingly. Your talk can be loaded before each session onto the symposium laptop and will not be saved. A laser pointer will also be available.
